Futures Fest: young futures take centre stage

We’re still riding the buzz of Futures Festival 2025, and every young attendee and contributor that powered its success.

On the 29th May, we brought together over 120 young people and 45 brilliant exhibitors for a day full of connection and inspiration in support of young people’s pathways, resulting in 209 opportunities secured for young attendees! Evelyn Grace Academy was alive with energy, curiosity and ideas, showcasing what’s possible when people come together in support of young futures. From fun activities to honest talks, Futures Fest created space for young people to ask questions, explore opportunities and meet local organisations to global corporations.

hear from our guests

We asked young people how they felt after the festival, here’s what they said:

That’s the essence of Futures Fest. To create spaces that leave young people feeling clearer, more connected, and more confident about what comes next. Because when they have access, support, and the right spark, real opportunities follow and futures start to take shape.

Creating connections that count

From the moment things kicked off, motivational speaker, Kheron Gilpin set the tone welcoming everyone in and keeping the energy high. We enjoyed his workshop exploring how lifelong learning can directly lead to increased income, impact, and influence. Young guests enjoyed ice breakers, competitions and left inspired about understanding their value and championing their assets.

We were thrilled to be joined by Ticha Moyo, Google Student Talent Outreach Manager, who shared behind-the-scenes look at making it at Google, how he did it, and what he learned along the way. He left young attendees with three key takeaways; to have clarity in your communication, get comfortable with discomfort, and the power of networking.

Throughout the day young guests explored the opportunity market, featuring organisations across industries including; creative and digital, hospitality, leadership and enterprise, music, health and wellbeing and local community services. We’d like to share a huge thank you to all our participating organisations!

Performances that brought the day to life

A huge shoutout to our talented local young artists

Each artist brought something unique to the stage and helped shape the atmosphere of the day. The performances added energy, and a real sense of celebration, they were a big part of what made the festival feel special.

Built together, supported by community

We want to say a big thank you to North Brixton Big Local and Lambeth Council EIPS for helping make the festival happen, and to local MP Helen Hayes for paying us a special visit. Their support made this free to access event possible for young attendees and organisations.

And finally, thank you to everyone who showed up, whether you were performing, volunteering, exhibiting, supporting or just taking it all in. Futures Fest is what it is because of you.

We’re proud of what we created together and we’re already looking forward to what’s next.
