The Unheard voices is a 6-month employability and life skills programme for young people in lambeth aged 16-30.

participants will get:

  • Personalised support: One-to-one assessments, SMART action plans, mentoring.

  • Employability skills: CV & cover letter writing, interview prep, job applications, workplace behaviour.

  • Life skills: Digital literacy, financial planning, resilience, soft skills.

  • Work experience & networking: Minimum 3 days’ work experience, employer-led workshops, LinkedIn profile creation, mentor access.

  • Progression support: Guidance toward education, training, apprenticeships, or employment.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Young people aged 16–30 living in Lambeth.

Must have not be in Education, Employment, or Training for 6+ months and struggling to re-engage

  • Must fit at least one priority group

    • Care-experienced

    • Young carers

    • Known to Youth Justice Service

    • SEND or mental health challenges

    • Refugees or asylum seekers

    • Young parents

    • Individuals facing multiple barriers (homelessness, substance recovery, previous school exclusions)

⏱️ What’s the commitment?

⏱️ Time & Attendance

  • Programme runs for 6 months

  • Attend at least 70% of sessions

  • Sessions include workshops, training, mentoring & work experience

📝 What You’ll Need to Do

  • Join regular check-ins with staff

  • Work on your SMART action plan

  • Take part in CV building, interview prep & life-skills sessions

  • Complete a minimum of 3 days’ work experience

  • Be open to support with wellbeing, confidence & personal goals
